Hungary Birds

Hungary has offered some great photographers as well as subjects to work with in recent years and the innovative approach to glass-fronted hides a key development and one we’ll be able to take full advantage of in a truly diverse combination of settings and species to work with. These include a spectacular tower hide surrounded by nesting Red-Footed Falcons and Kestrels who will be pairing up and breeding at the beginning of the Spring season, a reed bed and pool hides offering returning specialities such as Ferruginous Duck, Spoonbill, Black Stork and Pygmy Cormorant, a woodland drinking pool with local specialities such as Collared Flycatcher and Hawfinch among its wide array of species, alongside the iconic and colourful central European speciality species Hoopoes, Bee-Eaters and Rollers or late season waders from further hide options, this will be a jam packed bird photography week in some of the best hides and set ups and with local experts who we’ve been working with for many years
