Sometimes it is hard to try to photograph a familiar species in a new way. I have countless slides of Seals, yet this year (2003) I wanted to picture them in a way I had not done before. I decided to concentrate on trying to capture the moment when a wave breaks over the seal. It was not easy and I had a big bin of failures, however I was happy with  these two shots.
