Hummingbirds have always fascinated me, I guess all wildlife does really but hummers are certainly something a little out of the ordinary.

So exotic, the incredible wing control makes them look far more like iridescent flying insects than warm-bloodied birds.

Photography with modern camera systems is relatively straight forward. In days past complex, multi high speed flash systems were used.

Many still do but with a little experimentation amazing results can be produced with a single, modern flash gun.
